Defeat is not when you fall down,
Defeat is when you refuse again to stand.
Defeat is not when you make a mistake,
Defeat is when you throw your situation out of your hand.

Defeat is not about what all you have lost,
Defeat is when you don’t try to gain.
Defeat is not which causes you some hurt,
Defeat is when you refuse to remove your pain.

Defeat is not when you see darkness all around,
Defeat is when you don’t try to be your own light.
Defeat is not when falsehood looms large,
Defeat is when you don’t search for what is right.

Defeat is not when boulders strike you,
Defeat is when your path you cannot find.
Defeat is not when others mock you,
Defeat is when you accept defeat in your mind.
