Clarification

On request of student community in AMU, I was required to establish authenticity for invocation of "Alehissalam" with the name of fourth Caliph of Islam, Hazrat Ali (Rad).

On that score, I would like to say that using "Alehissalam" with the name of Hazrat Ali is in no way an innovation as claimed by some learned students on the campus.

In many books on Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic History, Hadeeth, Tafseer etc. this exalting invocation had been used tremendously by various scholars. Keeping all them aside, I would like to share that this invocation had also been used for members of Ahle-Bait by Imam Bukhari in his As-Sahih. One may see the pictures below. Thanks.
